A blast from the past! Back in 2008, the DB26 Perpetual Calendar was released, a contemporary looking timepiece with an uncluttered appearance, the refined dial reveals the demanding mastery of the various trades practised in the De Bethune workshops.

At first glance, you can’t help but notice the sapphire hands, ringed in hand blued steel. Denis Flageollet our co-founder and master watchmaker, imagined and designed watch hands of perfect transparency. Enabling the owner of this timepiece to read all the indications of this perpetual calendar quickly regardless of the position of the hands, the date, day and month can be clearly understood. At the 3 o’clock location is another example of our DNA, the spherical De Bethune moon rotating on its own axis, indicating the phases of the moon with the highest precision. Composed in two parts, one in steel and the other in platinum, this tiny sphere is manually flame-blued. Positioned to its side is a round window indicating leap years. Next, two flame-blued steel indexes point to the month and day which are set in resized windows for better visibility. At 9 o’clock is the date ring which brings a sense of balance to the dial mirroring the moon-phase.

44.4mm in diameter, and in true De Bethune style, the case has various unique features which are revealed as soon as the watch is placed on the wrist. The floating lugs pivoting from the central axis of the watch, to which the strap is attached enable the timepiece to adapt itself perfectly to the size of its owner’s wrist. The winding crown is positioned at 6 o’clock to avoid the crease of the wrist; and the flat case-back is no longer an issue – all of which ensures incomparable comfort, something we have always strived for in the design of our watches.

Concealed at its heart, the calibre DB2005. A perpetual calendar designed developed at the Manufacture. A hand-wound mechanical movement with a full 5 days power reserve, from self-regulating twin barrels. There is also our signature spherical moon-phase indication accurate to a degree of one lunar day every 122 years! The DB26 also has a titanium/platinum balance beating at its heart, and our very own Triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system.

The DB26 is a design classic, rarely seen today, which makes it even more unique, and now we bring you a great example of this authentic watch. Lovingly refurbished, serviced and tested. Backed with a Manufacture two-year warranty for your peace of mind.
